Starting on Monday 2/27/12, “Reptilis Rex” will be undergoing a schedule change. Instead of 3 days a week, we’ll be publishing comics 4 days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). Initially, I launched the comic 3 days a week to test the waters, see what kind of schedule I could accomodate. But now that I’m seeing the results, I’ve decided that the pacing is too slow for the stories I want to tell. I’d like to go 5 days a week (hell, I’d love to do 7) but I think 4 days is a reasonable compromise considering my schedule. So look forward to that!
Thank you all for reading, spreading the word and voicing your opinion in the comments! Don’t forget: 4 days a week now. Mark your calendars, or iPhone calendars or whatever the hell.
UPDATE: The issue appears to be resolved. Please feel free to RSS with reckless abandon!
Hello! I’m very aware that the Reptilis Rex RSS feed is busted, and I’m working on it. If you could see me now, standing over WordPress with a sledgehammer, daring it to make a move, you would understand how serious I am about not knowing a goddamn thing about WordPress.
Be patient with me! I am but a simple caveman. Your machines confuse and terrify me.
Since we had our first mention of the FBRI (Federal Bureau of Reptoid Investigation) not too long ago, I decided it might be nice to offer a little bonus content in the form of some wallpapers with the official FBRI logo. Click below to download a big desktop wallpaper (resize at your own peril) and a size suitable for your iPhones…
Thanks for reading “Reptilis Rex,” guys! I hope you’re enjoying it! And look for more interactions/revelations involving the dreaded FBRI to come…
Hey guys! Freelance work and family stuff has caused me to fall pretty far behind. I have new comics for you, but I want to get a little further ahead on my buffer before I run them, so I decided to show you some preliminary Reptilis Rex sketches this week. New comics start again next week. Thanks for understanding!
As you probably know, the site was down for most of last week, so I’m re-running the strips that would have run the week of January 28th. Some of you may have seen these already if you follow me on Twitter, but I wanted to run them on the site proper. Thanks to the disaster response team at Blind Ferret for ironing out the website issues!
Reader and fellow cartoonist Clayton Chowaniec has done some cute-as-a-button fan art of George and his reptoid friend, Spoor. Say, whatever happened to her, anyway? If only there were some way we could find out. Oh well!
Anyway, follow Clayton on Twitter here and visit his website here! If you have any fan art to submit, send it over to email@example.com or tweet it to @ReptilisRex and we’ll put it up on the site.
Hello! This is me, talking to you.
I wanted to tell you that it is time for yours truly to stretch his legs a little bit, so the next few weeks will see some changes in Reptilis Rex. Firstly, the schedule will be changing from “Monday – Thursday” to “Sporadic!” I added the exclamation point in there to soften the blow. Did it work? Hooray!!!! Part of the reason for this is because my family is going to be growing by one in the next few months, and I know that, for a while at least, time will be a commodity I simply don’t have enough of. Like money, or self esteem! Secondly, (and this is the stretching legs part), I wanted to try out a larger format, and that means more work, which means not-so-daily updates. But it is my hope that the expanded format will allow me to tell bigger, better stories. My goal is to update at least twice a week with double-sized strips, but we will see how that goes. Make sure to subscribe to the RSS feed and the official Twitter for updates whenever a new strip becomes available for looking at with your face holes. Quality not quantity, right? Ha ha! Exclamation points!!!!
Thank you for your patience and your continued readership. I have lots of ideas and stories for Reptilis Rex still to come, and I hope you’ll stick around through the growing pains.
